WHY DO I NEED A FIGHT DIRECTOR/CHOREOGRAPHER FOR MY SHOW?

Two reasons: Safety and Story. A professionally choreographed fight ensures that the violence is appropriate to the characters’ given circumstances (i.e. a trained swordfighter in a duel or victim ambushed in a back alley) rather than “whatever the actors create in the moment.” More importantly, good choreography keeps the actors safe even as the characters are in danger – so the actor can fully commit to the violence, safely.
