Hannah "Rock" Roccisano (she/they) is a Certified Teacher with the Society of American Fight Directors. 

She is a NYC and Midwest-based fight and intimacy choreographer, director, educator, movement practitioner, and Shakespeare nerd. Hannah's Off-Broadway fight choreography credits include: CATS: The Jellicle Ball (PAC NYC), Wolf Play (MCC and Soho Rep), Bright New Boise (Signature), and Montag at (Soho Rep), along with several other assistant fight direction credits. Rock has guest taught/worked/choreographed at multiple institutions in the city such as Columbia University, PACE University, NYU Tisch, The Atlantic Acting Studio, The Knickerbocker Studio, The Hartt School, and others. She also travels frequently guest instructs at multiple other locations such as SUNY Fredonia, Mary Baldwin University, University of West Florida and others.

Through the SAFD, Hannah founded Expand, Educate, Empower, an initiative bringing free stage combat training to students in underserved communities across the U.S. Hannah's greatest artistic passions are telling stories of underserved communities. Her specialties include neurodiverency and accessibility, queer, and intersectional feminist theatre. Rock is a consent-based teacher who gravitates towards for theatrical environments that encourage radical empathy, exploration, and adaptability, always with a healthy dose of silly-goosery.

Training: MFA in Directing Shakespeare, and Master of Letters, Mary Baldwin Shakespeare and Performance; Bachelor of Arts in Theatre with 2 minors (communications, and stage combat), SUNY Fredonia.
