A native of Conway, Arkansas, Rowan comes to us from an international physical theatre background. She holds a BA in Theatre Arts from Hendrix College, an MA in Theatre from Louisiana Tech University, and has traveled extensively pursuing higher education in movement and drama at such schools as the Accademia dell’Arte, Flic Scuola di Circo, Trapeze School New York, and the Universidad Complutense de Madrid. Miss Johnson is an advanced actor combatant with the Society of American Fight Directors, member of the British Academy of Stage and Screen Combat, and lifelong martial artist. Johnson’s stage credits include Titania in A Midsummer Night’s Dream, The Girl in Summertree, and Arlecchino in various Commedia performances. As a circus artist, Rowan has performed as an aerialist with the Reale Società Ginnastica di Torino and as a contortionist in Freak Show Follies. She has served as Fight Director for You Can’t Take it With You and We Are Thy Labyrinth, and stunt coordinated such films as The Bloodstone Diaries: The Thief of All Things, Seven Souls, Never Stop Running, and The Iron Princess.
