Michael Hagins has choreographed over 70 shows in the tri-state area and over 20 with the Hudson Shakespeare Company as the Resident Fight Director. He has choreographed fights from different periods of plays from Greek theatre to Shakepseare to contemporary work, and has done so in spaces from the tiniest of black boxes to the great outdoors. He is an Advanced Actor-combatant with the Society of American Fight Directors, and has Recognized
Recommended proficiency in Unarmed, Single Sword, Broadsword, Sword and Shield, Quarterstaff, Knife and Small Sword. His primary training has come from Combat Inc. under Ray Rodriguez, Michael Yahn and Galway McCullough, and from Fights4 under Michael Chin, J. David Brimmer, Michael Jerome Johnson, Ricki Ravitts and Robert 'Tink' Tuftee. Michael is also versed in European weaponry and history, and has used several such weapons in his fights, along with the oddest of found weapons such as canes, sticks, pillows, teddy bears, etc. In addition, he has performed in over 80 shows and directed over 35 in the past 10 years.
